Columbia Valley Pride is a vibrant hub for 2SLGBTQIA+ life in the East Kootenays. We build connections, provide a safety net of support and belonging, and champion a community where 2SLGBTQIA+ people thrive. Whether at our annual Pride festival or our inclusive community meetups through the seasons, we create spaces where people can show up exactly as they are.

OUR MISSION

Columbia Valley Pride aims to empower 2SLGBTQIA+ people and their allies in the

East Kootenays through learning, resources, and events, ensuring our work is inclusive and accessible to all.


Columbia Valley Pride exists within the territories of the Ktunaxa and Secwepemc Nations, and the Columbia Valley Metis Association. We are grateful to be living in these territories and are committed to the decolonization of Pride and of the land we reside in. We are all learning the best ways to acknowledge the land we live on and to hold the truth of the history here, and are open to new learning, language and best practices. If you have suggestions or knowledge you are willing to share, please contact us - we would love to be in conversation with you.
